Hey, it’s okay to worship in your own way! Everybody is comfortable in their own church, and worshipping their way. You have holy rollers, and back row baptists. Both of them are worshipping God. Doesn’t make either one of them wrong – if their heart is truly in it.
Just because your life is going great- doesn’t mean God IS in it. Then again, just because your life is going horrible- doesn’t mean that God ISN’T in it. He didn’t promise us an easy life. He promised us a purposeful and meaningful existence while we have to forbear this earth. God is in the trials with us, and he is in the celebrations with us. We just have to worship him through them all.
You know, speaking in tongues for instance…. Just because I can do it- it doesn’t mean that you ever will. You may not want to. It doesn’t make it fake, it just means that God will feed his people what they can handle, and what they can accept. If you want it, he will give it to you. If you don’t want it, there is no pressure.
God knocks at the door, and you let him in. Some people let him in with the door wide open. For some people, the door has to come off the hinges. For others, they may let God through a halfway opened door. Some people crack the door open and that is all they want. and hey………It’s ok! Maybe the crack in the door is YOUR completely. Everyone has different capacities to love. We were each made individually by God himself. Not everybody was given the same heart. We have one thing in common though. Christ indwells in us.
He is the same God yesterday as he is today. The same God that sent Jesus here to earth years and years ago- is still my God and friend I talk to everyday. The gift of tongues is real- it hasn’t stopped. Miracles done by God is real- it hasn’t stopped. Laying hands- it hasn’t stopped.
“Therefore I remind you to stir up the gift of God which is in you through the laying on of my hands.” (2 Timothy 1:6)
MY GOD IS YOUR GOD. No matter how you worship him. Thats religion. You can learn all the religions. You can learn about being Muslim, Jewish, Catholic…It’s great to be a scholar of religion. Knowledge is power. But get your final degree in a relationship with God. However you build it, however close to God you want to be, or as far as you want to be away. It is yours. We are only tied by our own hands, and bound by our own small thinking.God is good. God is a healer. God gives us the 9 gifts of the spirit and 9 fruits of the spirit.
“But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all: for to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, to another the word of knowledge through the same Spirit, to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healings by the same Spirit, to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another discerning of spirits, to another different kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues. But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually as He wills.” (1 Corinthians 12:7-11)
“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control.” (Galatians 5:22)

If you believe the Bible. Believe that these things are out there. There is no hocus-pocus. Though some people are guily of worshipping in the flesh or “for show”.. But I am not here to judge, merely to tell the truth. I’m just saying don’t doubt that there is more out there. There is.
“Do not neglect the gift that is in you … Meditate on these things, give yourself entirely to them, that your progress may be evident to all.” (1 Timothy 4:14)
Hope this helps,
